SITUATION:

In the competitive realm of chip manufacturing, our client stands as a leader, encompassing the entire spectrum from design to fabrication.  

Our client recently went through a large acquisition, which led to many new data sources and warehouses in the system. While the merger is in progress, delivering insights from these disparate sources is a constant ask which is not easy due to the inherent nature of the acquisition process. This also delayed key decision-making timelines proving hinderance for accelerated growth. 

With ambitious goals to achieve 2x growth by 2030, they envisioned a future driven by data, aiming to consolidate disparate data silos into an integrated platform.

SOLUTION:

GrowthArc partnered closely with the client to implement a comprehensive data virtualization solution leveraging Denodo. Data from SQL servers, Redshift, network drives, and SharePoint portals was seamlessly integrated into a unified data layer hosted on the platform, facilitating consistent internal access and consumption. 

The project faced challenges such as data availability and security concerns, all of which were meticulously addressed through collaboration with stakeholders, robust data security measures, and optimized system configurations. 

What distinguishes GrowthArc’s solution is its tailored approach to complex environments. By deploying a ‘close to the data’ design with optimal load balancing, rigorous vendor follow-ups, and standardized processes, we ensured flawless execution and user adoption. 

The implementation process was marked by meticulous planning and execution, including comprehensive training, code reviews, and proactive stakeholder engagement. This approach not only ensured smooth deployment but also accelerated business use case onboarding beyond initial expectations.

OUTCOME:

The successful go-live of the platform, achieved a week ahead of schedule, laid the foundation for enhanced operational efficiency. Key outcomes included automation of sales operations tasks so the Sales Operations can be focused on strategic tasks, significant improvements in data quality for better decision making, and the establishment of a mature data fabric layer across the organization. 

Looking ahead, the implemented solution positions the client for scalable and sustained growth and seamless technology transitions. It supports their long-term vision of becoming data-driven, enabling future expansion into other verticals and ensuring continuity amidst technological advancements.
